Interview clip on MSNBC with Clinton campaign senior strategist Joel Benenson, who makes the case that Bernie made significant blunders in his Daily News interview and that the Clinton campaign does not intend to continue debates unless Sanders changes his tone.

Bernie Sanders’s PUMA Moment: Hillary Clinton ‘Not Qualified’ (Daily Beast)
Analysis:
This Daily Beast article is a critique of Sanders' comments that Clinton was "not qualified" to be president". The article points out that although she made somewhat similar comments before Sanders made his remarks, the writer argues he stepped over a much bigger line by saying she wasn't qualified.

Bernie does have a plan to break up the banks: Enough with the handwringing over that Daily News interview (Salon)
Analysis:
This Salon piece is a defense of Bernie's policies and plans for executing them after he received criticism for his failure to be specific during a Daily News interview on the question of how he would break up the big banks. The article argues that the questions were deliberately designed to confuse him and that he does have a clear plan of how to do this.

Clinton’s no bunny boiler: Sanders campaign turns to ’80s-era sexist stereotypes about female ambition, which will blow up in his face (Salon)

The “Bernie Bro” smear must go: #BernieMadeMeWhite claps back at idiotic primary meme (Salon)

Sanders Over the Edge (NYT)
-Dylan Stump
Analysis:
This much talked about and controversial Paul Krugman piece in the Times delves into the notion of the Sanders campaign as naive and overly idealistic about how to implement seemingly radical policy goals. He criticizes Sanders and lacking depth and nuance when pressed for deeper policy analysis, referencing his highly scrutinized Daily News interview in this regard. Towards the end, he is highly critical of Sanders' tone, embracing the "Bernie Bro" meme of Sanders' supporters as mostly young white men with misogynistic leanings.

Time for Bernie Sanders to Get in Line (Daily Beast)
Analysis:
This Daily Beast article makes the case of Clinton's inevitability and argues that Sanders needs to stop attacking her because he will damage party unity. Analysis:
A critique by The Young Turks of the "Bernie Bro" meme. Analysis:
This Daily Beast article discusses how republican Super PAC's have been running ads for Bernie as an effort to weaken Clinton. Analysis:
This article examines how the "Bernie Bro" meme came into existence and points out that while their is some sexist behavior amongst Sanders supporters, it does not appear emblematic of his candidacy in anyway. The New York Times, bias and Hillary Clinton (The Hill)
Analysis:
This editorial from "The Hill" explores the role bias has played in the coverage of Hillary Clinton in this election, but also addresses the issue of bias in the larger context of modern journalism. This article addresses a lot of the issues we've addresses in class, such as the role confirmation bias has played in perceptions of whether or not a news outlet is biased towards one candidate. The article points out that the New York Times, in spite of their usual principle of objectivity, have shown clear bias towards Hillary over Bernie through agenda setting, framing and a generally positive tone towards Clinton and a generally negative tone towards Sanders.

Analysis:
This NYT op-ed piece from Paul Krugman criticizes the Sanders campaign as being entirely disconnected from the political reality of the US, making the argument that while embracing the European socialism model sounds nice, it's impossible to even attempt to replicate that in the US. He uses the term "magical unicorns" to deride Sanders' for what he percieves are completely unrealistic policy goals and a failure to understand how hard it would be to implement them

Hillary Clinton for the Democratic Nomination (NYT)
Analysis:
This NYT piece from the editorial board endorses the candidacy of Hillary Clinton for president as one of the "most qualified in modern history". Compared to other NYT pieces, it is far less critical of Bernie Sanders, giving him credit for bringing important issues to the forefront of the political dialogue. However, they refrain the critique of his goals being unrealistic and say he "lacks experience" (A dubious assertion considering he served in public office long before she did). A key framing device of this article is to paint Hillary as the pinnacle of pragmatic, realistic liberalism by pitting her policies against the Republican field as opposed to Sanders.

-Dylan Stump
Analysis:

Bernie Sanders Dominates Washington, Alaska, And Hawaii Primaries (The Young Turks)

Analysis:

The panel talks about the attempts by mainstream pundits to paint states that go Sanders as lacking diversity, pointing out that such a claim is bogus when only 25% of Hawaii is white. They also discuss arguments of "party unity" as silly, believing either Clinton or Sanders would crush Trump in a general election.

Hillary Campaign Threatens Withholding Debates Over Bernie's “Tone" (The Young Turks)
-Dylan Stump
Analysis:
This video delves into the claim by a Clinton strategist that they dislike the "tone" of Sanders' campaign and are hesitant to hold any debates going forward. The panel shows clear support for Sanders on this issue, pointing out the hypocrisies of how Clinton supporters would likely disapprove of the Sanders camp criticizing Hillary's tone. They also point out that if tone is a deal-breaker for Hillary in debates, it's likely going to be a bigger issue if facing off against Trump in the general election.

First Read: Are Rubio and Sanders Playing to Win? (NBCNews)
-Dylan Stump
Analysis:
This article analyzes the campaigns of both Marco Rubio and Bernie Sanders and asks if either campaign's strategy is aiming to win. While this article does a good job of outlining some of the strategic failings of these respective campaigns, namely their reluctance to attack the respective front-runners, I think the central argument that they are not "in it to win it" is not valid, but merely that both campaigns are fighting against foes with strong advantages (Trump's populist appeal and name recognition, Clinton's name recognition and support amongst party elites).
